Overview

FCC our family history of starting as a small family farm in Bucyrus, KS into a large-scale production Agribusiness predominately in cattle feeding. Today our business has grown into including multiple feedyards in western KS and southwest NE. FCC also operates farming operations around many of our cattle feeding operations. Operations in ranching in the flint hills and western MO. Our family approach to business has attracted some of the best talent in the industry to be a part of our team. Together we strive to be the best by using an innovative approach to cattle feeding. We do this by having industry leading facilities and equipment. Installing programs to have an approach of the best animal welfare programs. Having relationships across the country to procure the best cattle. Work with local farmers to have a reliable feed supply. We treat the cattle the best possible and our results will be successful. Responsibilities and Expectations

This position supports directly to the company owners and lead Accountant. This key role will manage payables, receivables, and payroll. The right individual will be highly efficient, independent, and organized. This position will work in a fast-paced office environment and must be nimble and able to shift gears quickly to do roles to be able to move forward as a team.

General Knowledge

  • Agricultural knowledge of row crop farming, ranching, and cattle feeding
  • Understanding of inputs and outputs to create a margin in an agribusiness
  • Transportation logistics
  • Equipment needed to operate the business
  • Learning the Regulations that overview our company
  • Accounting for business operations
  • Data analysis
  • Ag Finance
  • Commodity futures understanding how it establishes prices not necessarily trading

  • Exhibits solid time management skills, organization, planning and priority setting in carrying out day to day responsibilities.

Required Skills & Education

  • Degree in Accounting w/ background in Agriculture is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based system
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Strong organization skills
  • Aptitude for math
  • Understanding of HR process and payroll or willing to learn
  • Learning Insurance for overall Risk Management of the company and what needs covered and how to do so

Work Environment

This position requires the employee to work primarily in the office with occasional travel to other locations. To fulfill the job responsibilities, the employee must plan on being onsite at their designated office location working hours assigned by their manager. Most of the job duties require the employee to be working with computers and electronic media on a regular basis.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
