About the Role

Cowl Cowl encompasses both Cowl Cowl and Wyadra stations and is a renowned property with over 10,000Ha of irrigated land and significant water entitlements. Based on the banks of the Lachlan River, the property boasts on-farm accommodation and close proximity to the town of Hillston, NSW. Currently farming 600Ha of Almonds as well as significant row crop operations, particularly cotton, if you are looking to work your way up to a Farm Management role in the future here is a role designed to build the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a farm operations capacity.

The Role

You will assist the Farm Manager in meeting day-to-day administration and operational requirements of the farm. Key responsibilities include:

Keeping accurate records of operations, stock and machinery

Placing orders and checking receivals for farm inputs and parts as needed

Management of all incoming and outgoing communications

Generating reports as required

Assist the Farm Management to implement the annual maintenance and capital improvement programs

Operating farm vehicles and machinery for the cropping programs including spraying, harvesting, and seeding

Maintaining a focus on safety and compliance

The successful candidate will:
Have passion, enthusiasm, and commitment for farming and agriculture

Have a high level of attention to detail

Be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the operation

Have a willingness to learn and develop new skills

Have the ability to work alone and as part of a team

Relevant tertiary (BSC/Diploma/Cert) qualifications will be highly regarded
