The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties in the following areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, recruitment and employment. The HR Generalist will help ensure the Human Resources Department is running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, Include but are not limited to:

Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.

Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to team members

Monitors team member eligibility for health and 401K benefit plans.

Review benefit information with team members and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes

Coordinate yearly open enrollment of health benefits

Assist in implementation of company safety and health programs

Verifies benefit billing accuracy and processes for payment

Maintain Recruitment efforts through multiple online vendors

Assess and review resumes and applications in order to aide in the recruitment and selection process

Reports, maintains and monitors all worker’s compensation case files; follows up on open cases

Monitor and advise managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline policies of the company

Prepares HR reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data

Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies

Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict free workplace

Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory

Assist in maintaining team member files and records

Assists in the processing of team member paperwork (new hire, terminations, etc)

Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential

All other duties as assigned by supervisor or company official.

Human Resources Generalist Requirements:

The Human Resources Generalist will have an understanding of general human resources policies and procedures. They will demonstrate knowledge of various employment laws, and practices as well as the administration of benefit and compensation programs. A Human Resources Generalist must have good oral/written communication skills in order to effectively interact with team members. They will be an active listener and have a high aptitude in problem solving. A broad range of computer skills is necessary. They will work online with database programs and payroll processing systems. Computer skills in a Microsoft windows environment, including Excel are a must. The Human Resources Generalist must have excellent organizational skills. Additionally, a successful Human Resources Generalist must have a strong work ethic and be a team player.
