About This JobThe successful candidate will be a Production and Supply (P&S) Associate Project Manager working within the EAME Project Management and Change & Transformation Team of Syngenta (PM and C&T). The EAME PM and C&T Team focuses on implementing projects in the P&S functional area within the EAME region. The job holder will be responsible primarily for the set-up and delivery of these projects. The successful candidates will be responsible for initiatives of a budget likely below $1m. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to promote and facilitate project life cycle documentation determined by mandated methodologies and good practice in support of significant programs.
This role is very much hand-on and will excite anyone energized to assist Syngenta, and specifically the P&S function, drive forward the business strategy. This position will suit individuals looking to build their expertise in the field of delivering business change initiatives. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress upwards in the Syngenta project manager career ladder.
Project managing for assigned initiatives, likely below $1m, within the EAME Production & Supply Portfolio. Ensuring effective project / change management using all mandated methodologies and good practice/
The job holder will engage internal and external reports; on-site and off-shore resources to ensure initiatives are delivered on-line, in budget and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. This role may perform project management office role for significant change programs ensuring good practice project management processes are executed.
Ensuring there is a clear support process for the change and transformation going forward and that the impacted functions fully adopt the change.
Ensuring good working relationships are maintained between global, regional and country program/project team members as well as IS, Finance and external stakeholders.
Delivering appropriate weekly status reports to the Program Lead and steering groups as required.
Essential Knowledge & Experience
Proven background in change management / project management
Strong team player, good interpersonal and communication skills, analytical thinking, influencing skills
Influencing skills and personal drive.
Results and quality orientated with business acumen
A good communicator but also a good listener to identify genuine customer needs
Analytical and self-motivated in order to build a challenging but achievable plan of change.
Knowledge of production or supply is a distinct advantage to relate to the user communities.
Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent
SAP knowledge is an advantage since Syngenta is an SAP company…
