PurposeResponsible for the direction and implementation of the Syngenta Group’s global Information Security policy, governance and control standards, policies, procedures, and controls across Syngenta’s business units to effectively manage IT and cybersecurity risk.

Act as the liaison between the business and the global Information Security organization.

Enable business strategies, while balancing the cybersecurity risk.

Articulate the security perspective to the business, helping them understand the potential impact and possible controls in business terms.

Bring business knowledge to the global Information Security organization to help ensure cybersecurity risk and governance is aligned with the business strategy and accelerates solutions with better communication and alignment.

Accountabilities

Support the security consulting of projects and operations to ensure security risks are identified, communicated to, and mitigated by the business, and to ensure alignment with company’s global security strategy.

Engage with local key stakeholders (IT managers) and the global Information Security Team and serve as the local escalation point. Be a core member in the local Information Governance Committee and Risk & Control Committee

Support senior IT management regarding information security and provide transparency to help the business in determining IT risk posture.

Lead business units and SMEs to ensure business requirements are considered in global information security initiatives/programs, and to ensure the business units have all the necessary support from global/regional teams.

Ensure timely engagement on business and IT initiatives, providing guidance on the security risk aspect of projects.

Lead and develop Information Security initiatives, aligned to the global Information Security organization goals, for local country/BU by adopting governance, core processes and by recruiting and developing the right skills

Provide support, coaching and consulting on Infosec policies within business initiatives and projects to ensure alignment and compliance of these initiatives with the Syngenta Global Information Security Framework and strategy. Ensure adherence through reviewing critical projects, applications and/or processes

Partner with business leaders to align the risk needs with the existing risk landscape. Actively consult the business on risk decisions

Develop operational success metrics and KPI’s and present to Business, IT and Infosec sponsors frequently to ensure compliance to the Group’s information security needs

Ensure the implementation and management of information security programs and security management practices, including policies, governance processes, awareness programs and compliance audits
